SB Lawyers isn't a Partnership or an LLP; we're the first law firm in Wales to be owned by an Employee Ownership Trust. The Directors of the Company are all employees, and the business is run for the benefit of all the employees and not just for a few Partners as a traditional law company would be run. Whether you speak to the receptionist, secretary or our solicitors, you are speaking to the people who work for the benefit of everyone at SB Lawyers.
Historically, Spicketts Solicitors was established in the mid-19th century. The firm of Cassam & Battrick traditionally provided legal services to well-known financial institutions in Cardiff, as well as being a mainstream provider of legal services to its local area. Amalgamating the two companies, Spicketts Battrick Law Practice was formed in 2006. Since then, the firm has continued to proudly honour its tradition of providing quality legal services to its local community in Cardiff and Pontypridd and also throughout England & Wales.
The law firm changed its name from Spicketts Battrick Law Practice to SB Lawyers Limited in 2024. However, new and existing clients will continue to benefit from the client-centric approach to delivering legal advice with as little fuss as possible.
