Mediation Solicitors.

Mediation is a process during which a couple is helped by an impartial third party (a mediator), to negotiate their own solution. Mediation can help both married couples, couples who live together and in any other area where there is a dispute. In family mediation, mediation can deal with problems relating to children and the financial and property consequences of separation or divorce.

What are the advantages of mediation?

• It is couple driven process not a lawyer led process so the couple remain in control.

• It is quicker than dealing with matters through the Courts.

• It helps preserve the parenting partnership and can help improve communication.

• It can be much cheaper than litigation.

• Research has shown that it produces settlements which last longer.

• Children can be consulted as part of the process so feel that they have been heard.
